Overfeed fancy yarn
The decorative yarn of this type of fancy yarn is wrapped on the core yarn and distributed on the surface of the fancy yarn in a wavy or circular shape. It is a large type of fancy yarn with the most varieties and the most widely used.
（1） Loop thread
A loop yarn is an onthread surface that generates a loop,. The loops are large and small. The decorative yarn of the large loop is thicker, so the yarn is thicker, and the small loop can be spun thinner. The threadar density of the loop thread is generally 67~670tex (1.5~15 metric branches). When producing large loops, the decorative yarn must be worsted yarn with good elasticity and even evenness, and the twist of single yarn must be low. It also uses wool top (or roving) directly as decorative yarn after drafting, which is called fiber type loop yarn. This kind of loop is very soft because the fiber has not been twisted. Production on ring spindle fancy twister must go through two processes, while production on hollow spindle fancy twister can be formed once. The most prominent part of this fancy yarn is the loop, so the decorative yarn uses better raw materials, such as wool, acrylic fiber, cotton, hemp, etc. It can be used not only for knitted fabrics but also for woven fabrics and hand knitting. With the development of technology, there are more and more types and patterns of loop threads, such as two-color, tricolor, gradual change, unilateral loop threads, etc.
1. Double color loop thread Double color loop thread is a new product developed in recent years. The whole fancy thread is double color loop, which can be produced by ordinary double roller or triple roller fancy twister. The yarn type double color loop thread only needs to be produced on the double roller fancy twister, and the fiber type is produced on the triple roller fancy twister.

3. This kind of fancy yarn must be produced on a four roller fancy twister. Its loops are gradually transitioned from one color to the second, and there is no obvious junction of color alternation. If a black roving and a white roving enter the drafting mechanism at the same time, the white roving will gradually change from fast to slow, and the black roving will gradually change from slow to fast. On the surface of this fancy yarn, a gradual change process will appear from white circles to light gray, dark gray, and black. If the gradual change process is designed to be exactly the length of a garment thread, the color of the garment will change from white → light gray → gray → dark gray → black, and the transition color is very harmonious without any sign of handover.
4. Single side loop thread All loops of this fancy thread are densely distributed on one side of the fancy thread, so it is called single side loop thread. The density of this fancy loop thread is very high. The loops are distributed on the fancy thread one by one, and the clothes made are very unique.
（2） Wavy thread
Due to less overfeed of decorative yarn, curved ripples are formed on both sides of fancy yarn, and the whole wavy yarn is flat. The corrugated yarn is widely used and is one of the most widely used varieties of fancy yarn. The suitable spinning density is 50~200 tex (5~20 metric count). Most of the raw materials are soft and uniform wool yarn, acrylic yarn, cotton yarn, etc. If this kind of fancy yarn is produced on the ring spindle fancy twister, two processes are required. When it is produced on the hollow spindle fancy twister, the ring spindle must be used for untwisting, so only one process is required. This kind of fancy yarn uses a wide range of materials, both thick and thin, so it is widely used in woven, knitted, worsted, woolen fashion fabrics, decorative fabrics and other products. Another derivative product of wavy yarn is to use the ring spinning double roller fancy twister to do the first process. In the second process, instead of untwisting and strengthening the knot yarn, two head threads are combined and twisted reversely, so that the original core yarns are twisted together and the wavy decorative yarn is expanded around, so that a round wavy yarn with very soft feel can be obtained. The clothes made of this kind of thread are covered with a layer of dense small waves, which is very comfortable to wear.
The production process of bicolor waveform thread is different from that of general production. It generates waveform in two colors. One is that two colored yarns are bent to both sides respectively to generate a two-color waveform, as shown in color figure 1-31; The other is to feed two different colors of roving into the drafting area at the same time, and the bicolor fibers after drafting become bicolor waveforms. This kind of fancy thread is relatively thick, usually 147~200tex (5~7cm), and is used for fashion fabrics or decorative fabrics.
（3） Towel thread
The production process of this kind of fancy yarn is basically the same as that of corrugated yarn, which is often fed with two or more decorative yarns. Because the decorative yarn irregularly forms a relatively dense buckling on the surface of the core yarn and the consolidated yarn, which looks like the appearance of the towel, it is called the towel thread. Its raw materials are usually colored yarn, and the bright red 13 tex (77 metric count) polyester cotton yarn is often used as the core yarn and consolidation yarn, and the 13 tex (120 denier) bright viscose yarn is used as the decorative yarn to produce towel yarn. The fabric using it as weft yarn can form a layer of white small circle on the dark red background, like snowflakes, so it is called "snowflake cloth".
（4） Braid thread
This fancy yarn uses a strong twist yarn as decorative yarn. In the production process, because of the overfeed of decorative yarn, its resilience under the relaxation state is twisted, and the irregular small braids are attached between the core yarn and the consolidated yarn to become braided yarn. This kind of braided yarn can be twisted with chemical filament or ordinary wool yarn, and the spinning range is 100~300 tex (3~10 metric fibers). As the braid is strongly twisted, it feels rough and hard.
